11:56 PM IST, 10:26 PM Local Time | Well that's all for today folks! Join us back tomorrow for all the action LIVE from the cricketing world!
Until then, this is Anirudh Modi, signing off along with my co-commentator Ashok Dayma! See you on the next one!
David Willey (Player of the Match): "It's been quite a while since I bowled 4 on the trot but really happy with my performance. Couple of good matches but really happy that we won. With Dre hitting like he does, it's a great place to watch and it's important to chip in with a few. It's a bumpy start but we have started to gel and we hope it continues like that."
David Willey is the Player of the Match!
Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Captain): "The way we started with the bat, we had a good powerplay and it could have been better in the middle. Thanks to Russell for getting us to the total we wanted and without him we would have been around 150-160.
Our guys have been batting well through the tournament and they know when to consolidate and when to go. Willey started brilliantly, once you cover the first 6 overs after a total like that, it's all about controlling.
Like to have a perfect game but we need to buck up on our fielding and if we had grabbed Warner, things could have been different. But cannot blame the guys and we need to take the important ones.
Different guys stand up for us on different days and that's what important as the tournament goes on."
David Warner (Dubai Capitals Captain): "I think wickets in the powerplay for us with bat and ball, with the ball it hasn't happened for us. There are moments in the game when Dre come out and his partnership, they put on 60 at the backend.
With the new ball we got through but after that we lost wickets pretty much every over. I have played here a few teams and understand the conditions but unfortunately chasing 180 on the board and losing wickets, it's always going to be tough.
I never worried about how I am leading and the team trusts me but we needed a few partnerships and we will look to correct that in future. Players have been training hard and everyone is raring to go. Let's see how we go."
Biggest six of the match: Andre Russell (114 M)
Time for the post match presentation ceremony..
11:39 PM IST, 10:09 PM Local Time | Abu Dhabi Knight Riders seal a comprehensive win over Dubai Capitals! They defeat Warner's troops by 29 runs to register their 4th victory of the season!
Dubai Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first, and it backfired immediately as Michael-Kyle Pepper got off to a flying start. However, the Capitals' bowlers had other ideas as they came back with a flurry of wickets to leave Abu Dhabi reeling at 111/7.
The lower middle order led by Andre Russell wagged as they took apart the Dubai bowlers to help their team push past the 180 run-mark and register 183 all-out at the end of their 20 overs!
Come the chase, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders were on top quickly as they picked up 3 wickets in the powerplay. ADKR never looked back after that despite Warner's and Holder's best efforts.
The Australian southpaw smashed 42 runs off 27 balls which was followed up by Jason Holder's 42 runs off 21 balls and Scott Kugeleljn's 22 runs off 10 balls but it was too little, too late as Abu Dhabi Knight Riders had the match secured by then.
Willey, Narine and Wasim all chipped in with a couple of wickets each to put their opposition under pressure and ultimately defeat them to secure the points by 29 runs!
