That is the end of our coverage from this T20I as well. Hope you all enjoyed it and will sleep happily with the Men in Blue getting on top of the Aussies after that heartbreaking loss in the World Cup final. India go 2-0 in the 5-match series, and the next one is on the coming Tuesday in Guwahati.
I am AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Ninaad Dixit, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer, brought you all the live-action of this high-scoring encounter. We will meet again. Until then, it's cheers!
Yashasvi Jaiswal (POTM): "It was a special knock for me. I was trying to be brave and play my natural game, playing my shots. It was about being fearless. I was confident and sure of my decision to hit the shots.
I have been told by Surya bhai (Suryakumar Yadav) and VVS (VVS Laxman) sir to go and play freely. I have been asked to play and express myself freely.
It is about thinking about what I can do better and develop in my game rather than thinking of anything else. I am still learning.
Yeah, it was my mistake in the last game, and Rutu bhai (Ruturaj Gaikwad) was run out. Later on, I went to Rutu bhai in the dressing room and said sorry to him. He accepted it as I accepted my mistake. He (Ruturaj Gaikwad) is humble and caring as well. It was because of Stoinis, who came in between me while running, the miscommunication happened and it won't be repeated, is what I assured Rutu bhai.
I am working hard on my fitness. I am trying to develop different shots. The mental thing is what I am working hard on and I do believe and trust the practice sessions. I feel the mental stuff is more important at this level. Trying to get better each and every day."
Player of the Match: Yashasvi Jaiswal
Suryakumar Yadav (India Captain): "The boys are not putting too much pressure on me. They are taking the responsibility and I'm really happy with that.
I told the openers before the toss to be prepared to bat first and there'll be a lot of dew. We came here in the evening for the practice. After 3 overs there was a lot of dew. I asked them to back themselves and see whatever we get, later on we will try and defend it.
When I saw Rinku in the last game, when he came in we needed some 40 runs from 4 overs. The composure he showed was brilliant and the same thing today. He loves to bat the last 2 overs, giving that finish, I think that reminds us of everyone who's done this for India."
Gamechanger of the Match: Marcus Stoinis
Andre Borovec (Australia Head Coach): "Yeah, I think, if you look at it, we weren't up to the mark with the ball even though the dew came in early. In the first 6-7 overs, we could have been better with the ball. There was a fine line with execution with the ball in these conditions. In these conditions, the plans and intent were there and you don't have to miss by an awful lot. We were making the right decisions but weren't executing in the right moments."
Matthew Wade was hurt and hasn't come to the presentations. It's the Australian Coach for the interview.
11:01 PM IST and Local Time: We are ready with the post-match presentations!
