That's a wrap from our side as well. Another Super Smash season concluded successfully and Northern Brave have successfully defended the title.🏆 I hope you enjoyed our live coverage.

We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Datrim Singha Ray and Scorer/Analyst Raju Khariya, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌✌
Northern Brave has received the trophy and is now posing for a team photograph.
Jeet Raval (Northern Brave Captain): "The boys performed admirably today and won a fantastic game! We approached each game independently during the competition and prepared accordingly. Throughout, the management and support staff have been great. The Canterbury lads are a challenging team to defeat, and I want to express my gratitude to our sponsors for sticking with us throughout this season."
CANTERBURY KINGS CAPTAIN (Cole McConchie) : "Yes we came here with some hope. Northern was around and we know we had to be on our A game. We were 20-30 runs shorts and things didn't go our way. Certainly big shout out to the guys getting debuts, playing early their career who showed a great deal of improvement shown but finishing on a rough note like this would not sit well with them. I think Northern boys have been the benchmark and you guys are bloody hard to beat and congratulations on winning the title"
PLAYER OF THE MATCH (Mitchell Santner)"Yes it was a pretty good wicket. I think we bowled very well on top to restrict them to under 160. But the way the batters came out was impressive. Obliviously this season didn't go the way like it did last season but we performed well. Nice to come back and play super smash with the boys"
2:09 PM IST | Deepak: WINNER!! WINNER!! Northern Brave have successfully defended the title and are the champions of Super Smash 2022-23 edition🏆🏆!!! Hard luck for Canterbury Kings as they lost three Super Smash finals in a row now!!

Canterbury won the toss and decided to bat first, with their skipper Cole McConchie leading the way with a masterful inning of 54 runs. McConchie was the top scorer for his side, and his innings helped Canterbury post a challenging target of 154 runs in 20 overs. The Northern Brave’s left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner was the standout bowler, scalping three wickets and giving away only 16 runs in his four overs.

In response, the Northern Brave got off to a flying start, with openers Katene Clarke and Tim Seifert striking the bowlers cleanly. The pair put on a 51-run stand for the first wicket before Clarke departed for 28 runs. Jeet Raval joined Seifert at number three, and the pair continued to score runs freely. However, their progress was halted when Raval departed for 22 runs.

Seifert💥 completed his half-century in the grand finale, but his innings were cut short as he departed in the 15th over. Joe Carter and Mitchell Santner took over and the pair helped their side chase down the target with ease, remaining unbeaten on 30 and 22 runs, respectively. The Northern Brave won the match by 7 wickets and with 12 balls to spare.

On the flip side, Canterbury bowlers failed to impress with the ball in the grand finale. Henry Shipley extracted a couple of wickets, and Todd Astle contributed one wicket for Canterbury.

The Northern Brave’s clinical performance with the bat was the highlight of the match, and they deservedly lifted the trophy. On the other hand, it's a tough pill to swallow for Canterbury Kings as they have lost three finals in a row now!
Akshaya: Bad Luck for Canterbury Kings! Now they have lost three Super Smash finals in a row!!!!
