Player Bio

Bonnie Berry is one of those names you’ll want to remember — because the young Queensland quick is making all the right kind of noise in Australian women’s cricket. Hailing from the small town of Emerald, Berry’s rise from country cricket to the big stage has been swift, seamless, and seriously impressive.

At just 18, Berry has already shown that she’s not here to make up the numbers. A right-arm medium-fast bowler with a clean, rhythmic action and a knack for late movement, she first honed her skills in Rockhampton before making her mark with the Sunshine Coast Scorchers in Premier Cricket. Her performances there caught the eyes of selectors, earning her a Queensland Fire contract — and she made her WNCL debut in February 2023.

The following year, Berry’s potential was recognised on an even bigger platform when she earned a spot in Australia’s Under-19 squad for their tour of Sri Lanka in April 2024. That experience — bowling in humid conditions, adapting her lengths, and handling pressure — proved invaluable as she continued to build momentum heading into the domestic season.

Berry finds herself officially on the Brisbane Heat roster for the 2025–26 WBBL season — no longer just a replacement player, but a full-fledged part of one of the most dynamic teams in the league.

Expect her to be a quiet assassin with the ball — someone who hits the deck hard, challenges batters on both sides of the wicket, and brings raw pace and energy to the Heat attack. For a teenager from Emerald, it’s been a dream rise — but if you’ve seen her bowl, you know she’s only just getting started.
