Player Bio

Christopher King is a young South African all-rounder who has already begun to make a name for himself with both bat and ball. Born on July 24, 2004, in Three Rivers Midvaal, King is a right-handed batter and right-arm medium-fast bowler who has represented teams such as the Warriors and Durban’s Super Giants, while also earning a spot in the SA20.

King’s first-class numbers point to his ability as a strike bowler—16 wickets in just four matches at an impressive average of 18.68, including a five-wicket haul. He has also shown his usefulness with the bat, registering a highest score of 71 in red-ball cricket and an unbeaten 61 in the List A format. In T20s, his best figures of 3/18 underline his potential in the shorter game.

Hailing from a cricketing family, King featured alongside his brothers- JP King and CJ King -at the 2025 SA20 auction, with all three securing franchise deals. While JP turned out for Joburg Super Kings and CJ claimed a notable scalp of Moeen Ali for Durban’s Super Giants, Christopher has been carving his own path with consistent performances across formats.

Still early in his career, King is seen as an aggressive cricketer with sharp game awareness—qualities that make him one of South Africa’s prospects to watch in the coming years.
