Prince Yadav

Uttar Pradesh all-rounder Prince Yadav had his moment under the sun back in September 2023 as part of the Kashi Rudras team in the UP T20 League 2023 season. Born in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh in January 1998, the cricketer enjoyed a breakthrough season for the Kashi Rudras with both bat and ball to compound in his team’s title-winning run in the tournament.

Scoring 332 runs in just 11 innings at a healthy average of 47.43, Yadav maintained a blistering batting strike rate of 131.23. Moreover, the cricketer also delivered a couple of timely breakthroughs with the ball throughout the season as the Kashi Rudras team clinched the UP 2023 T20 League title.

Notably, Prince Yadav had already made his first-class and List A debuts for Uttar Pradesh back in 2022 itself. Making his debut in a quarter final match of the 2022 Ranji Trophy, the all-rounder celebrated the grand occasion by picking up a huge wicket and by composing 33* regal runs to navigate Uttar Pradesh to an emphatic five-wicket win in Alur.

A couple of months later, Yadav enjoyed another memorable Uttar Pradesh debut, albeit in List A cricket during the 2022 Vijay Hazare Trophy. The youngster punched out a fighting 35 with the bat, and picked up match-winning figures of 3-18 to headline Uttar Pradesh’s 83-run win over Tripura in Delhi. Yadav went on to play five matches in the opening week of his List A career, a year before finding a spot in the team’s T20 setup in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy of 2023.

While Prince Yadav underwent a below-par UP T20 season the following year in 2024, the cricketer still managed to earn his maiden IPL contract in November 2024 through the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise for his base price of Rs.30 lakh.
