Player Bio

Ali Raza is a burgeoning right-arm medium-fast bowler from Pakistan. He was born on March 18, 2008, in Nankana Sahib, Punjab, Pakistan. He has played for Pakistan Under-19, Rawalpindi Raiders, and Peshawar Zalmi.

Pakistan is known to produce pacers and we have seen pacers like Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, Waqar Younis, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and many more who have come to the cricket world to break the speedometer. One of Pakistan's newest sensations as a pacer is Ali Raza.

After breaking countless stumps on the streets, Ali Raza decided to go professional and take up cricket as a career.

At the age of 12, he joined the Rana Naveed Cricket Academy in Sheikhupura, despite lacking proper cricketing gear.

Soon, his domestic career was on a roll. His List A debut was for the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) against Khan Research Laboratories in April 2024. He made an immediate impact bowling against the well-established batters.

His First-Class debut was in October 2024, playing for FATA against Sialkot Region, where he delivered a commendable performance, taking 7 wickets for 48 runs in the first innings. He knew he had earned his position in the domestic.

He then went on for Panther (Pakistan’s domestic team) which marked his T20 debut against the Dolphins in December 2024. Showing his versatility and adaptability to different formats, he bagged his debut wicket in the same match.

At the age of just 15, he was selected to play in the ICC Under-19 World Cup. Throughout the tournament, he was no less than exceptional, he bagged nine wickets with an impressive average of 10.66. One of his remarkable performances was against Australia U19 in the semi-finals. In his spells of 10 overs, he bagged four crucial wickets, which helped Pakistan to victory in a closely contested match.

At a very young age, Ali Raza has achieved remarkable feats, positioning himself as a future star for Pakistan.

His right-arm medium-fast bowling is characterized by his ability to generate significant pace and movement off the pitch. Raza's prowess in delivering yorkers and bouncers adds to his arsenal, allowing him to adapt to various match situations effectively.
