Since scoring 351 runs at an average of 50 in his debut Ranji Trophy season, Takawale has been a regular in the Maharashtra side. He was penciled in into the Mumbai Indians squad for the inaugural IPL season and was bought by RCB at the 2014 IPL Player Auction.
