Player Bio

Harry Thomas Dixon has already become one of the most exciting young names in Australian cricket. The left-handed top-order batter from Victoria has made a smooth transition from school cricket to the professional circuit, showing promise well beyond his years.

Dixon began his cricketing journey at the Malvern and Toorak Prahran clubs, quickly gaining notice for his natural timing and hunger for runs. By his early teens, Dixon had already represented Victoria at Under-15 and Under-17 levels, piling up runs with remarkable consistency.

His breakout moment came during the 2023 Youth Ashes in England. Against a strong home attack, Dixon scored a superb 167 and followed it with an 83 in the second innings.

The 2005-born Victorian had a brilliant outing at the U-19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. The opening batter scored 309 runs from seven innings and was his side's highest run-getter in the World Cup. His performance played a major role in Australia lifting the trophy.

Those performances led to a two-year deal with the Melbourne Renegades, a major step for the teenager. Dixon made his Big Bash League debut in January 2025. A month later, he earned his Sheffield Shield cap for Victoria, scoring a fluent 66 on debut against Tasmania. A few days later, he also made his List A debut against the same opposition.

For the 2025-26 season, Dixon will again represent the Melbourne Renegades side.

“I’m really excited to have re-signed with the Renegades. We have such a talented group of players here and I’m eager to keep working hard, improving my game, and contributing to the team’s success in the next few seasons," Dixon said in an interview.

A naturally attacking left-hander, Dixon often draws comparisons with David Warner, whom he considers a major influence. Like Warner, Dixon doesn't shy away from going after the short-pitch deliveries.

With his early domestic success and growing exposure in the Big Bash, Dixon appears well on track to be one of Australia’s next-generation batting mainstays.
