Sandeep Warrier was picked by the KKR team purely on the basis of his domestic cricket performances. He made his First-Class debut back in 2012 and a dominating performance in the Ranji Trophy season 2018-19 where he took 44 wickets from 10 games that helped Kerala to reach the semi-final stage of Ranji Trophy for the first time put him on the radar of the KKR.
