The South Yorkshire-born cricketer, Phoebe Elisabeth Turner, has represented various sides primarily as a right-arm medium-pace bowler.

She made her county debut at 16 for Yorkshire in 2020, in friendlies arranged when the county season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. By 2021, she had made her debut in the Women’s T20 Cup, joining the Northern Diamonds Academy before earning promotion to the first-team squad in 2022. That year saw her play at Lord’s in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final, culminating in her first professional contract ahead of the 2023 season.

Turner’s 2024 season was her breakthrough—she emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, claiming an impressive 23 wickets, including a career-best 6 for 20 against Lancashire Thunder. That outstanding year led to a two-year move to Durham, joining the club’s newly formed Tier One women’s professional squad, a historic first for the county.

Her impact continued—she starred with a vital 4/33 in a One-Day Cup opener and impressive T20 best figures of 3/17, steering Durham to notable victories. She also lit up a tour match in Zimbabwe, hitting her maiden century (102) to help Durham secure a commanding win.

Off the field, Turner is a standout—not just for her cricket. Early in her career, she was recognized for her batting skills. The 2003-born cricketer received the Under-18s Batter of the Year and Players' Player of the Year at Yorkshire’s age-group awards. She’s known to be a big hitter, inspired by her idol Lauren Winfield-Hill, and jokingly says she might be found “playing a good tune on the kazoo” when not training.

At just 21, Turner embodies energy, skill, and aspiration—making her a shining prospect in the evolving landscape of women’s cricket.

In 2024, the seamer went on the Northern Diamonds' pre-season tour of Mumbai, which she said was a "great learning experience". 

In 2025, Turner made her England A debut against the New Zealand A side. She said that the maiden call-up was very "surprising" and her parents got emotional after hearing about her selection. 

In the 2025 edition of The Hundred, played for the Southern Brave franchise.
