Player Bio

Mohammad Zeeshan is a formidable right-arm medium-fast bowler. Standing at an impressive 6 feet 8 inches, his towering presence and bowling prowess have garnered attention in circles around Pakistan Cricket.

Zeeshan is the youngest of his three brothers, and his passion for cricket was ignited by his elder brothers. His brothers encouraged him to join a local academy and by watching legends like Shoaib Akhtar and Curtly Ambrose, Zeeshan developed a bowling style characterized by pace and precision.

The fast bowler’s first breakthrough came in the Pakistan Cup 2022, playing his debut List-A match for the Central Punjab against Northern Pakistan on March 21, 2022. He bowled five overs, conceding 25 runs with an economy of 5.00, and helped the side claim a major wicket of Umar Amin.

Zeeshan's potential was soon recognized at the national level, leading to his selection for the Pakistan Under-19 team. He participated in the 2021 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, showcasing his skills against top-tier youth talent. His consistent performances earned him a spot as a traveling reserve for Pakistan in the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, reflecting the selectors' confidence in his abilities.

He played a pivotal role in the Bahawalpur Royals' triumphant campaign during the Pakistan Junior League (PJL) 2022-23 season. Emerging as the tournament's leading wicket-taker, he secured 14 wickets across eight innings, boasting an impressive average of 13.21. His standout performances were instrumental in the Royals clinching the championship title. Recognizing his potential, Peshawar Zalmi selected Zeeshan in the emerging category during the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) players' draft.

Zeeshan made his debut for the Zalmi in March 2024 against Quetta Gladiators. He bagged his maiden wicket, hitting a toe-crushing yorker against Rilee Rossouw.

Later in the 2025 draft, he was added to the Quetta Gladiators.

Zeeshan's towering height offers him a natural advantage, allowing him to generate steep bounce and pose challenges for batsmen. His ability to extract movement off the pitch, combined with consistent pace, makes him a valuable asset in various formats. While primarily recognized for his bowling, Zeeshan's right-handed batting adds depth, offering potential contributions lower down the order.
