A bright upcoming all-rounder, Shanjida Akter is a professional cricketer for the Bangladesh women’s team. Hailing from Jessore, the 20-year old all-rounder received her first call-up from the national side for their bilateral series against Pakistan.

Shanjida made her T20I debut against Pakistan women on October 30th, 2019 and had a forgettable debut leaking 25 runs in just 2 overs in a low-scoring match. She was further sidelined from the squad and is yet to make an appearance on the international stage since her debut.

After some impressive performances for the Bangladesh Emerging side, the youngster earned a call-back to the national squad for their limited-overs series against Zimbabwe women in November 2021. Having received a second chance to make an impact at the highest level, Sanjida would be looking to fulfil the given role for the Tigresses.
