Player Bio

Hampshire-born Alice Monaghan is a player who is useful in batting, bowling and fielding. In July 2025, the seam-bowling allrounder made her maiden T20 half-century that helped Surrey win over Somerset.

Monaghan stepped into cricket by representing her home county, Hampshire, at U-13 level. In 2016, Monaghan made her county debut for Hampshire against Somerset in a Twenty20 Cup match.

The half-Irish girl represented England Academy on a South African tour in 2018. She also represented the Yorkshire Diamonds in the Kia Super League in 2018 as well.

The 2000-born cricketer was an ever-present member of the Southern Vipers side that won the inaugural Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy in 2020. By 2023, Monaghan had turned fully professional.

Monaghan, who has studied at Loughborough University, even got the chance to celebrate her graduation with her teammates at the iconic Lord's Balcony during a Hundred in 2021.

Monaghan, who presently plays for Surrey Women and Manchester Originals, has developed a reputation for being one of the best boundary fielders in the game.
