Player Bio

Georgia Louise Adams is a popular figure in the English women’s domestic cricket circuit. Being the daughter of former Sussex skipper and international cricketer, Chris Adams, cricket was in her blood. Her sister Mollie has also played for Sussex.

Adams made her county debut for Sussex in 2009 and by 2014, she captained the side for the first time, in a Women's County Championship match against Yorkshire. Interestingly, the 1993-born cricketer also scored a century in that match.

In 2015, Adams was captain for multiple Twenty20 Cup matches, as Sussex won the tournament.

Her breakthrough came in the inaugural Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy in 2020, where she topped the run charts with 500 runs at an extraordinary average of 83.33, including a career-best 154 not out against Western Storm. Her stellar performances led Southern Vipers to multiple titles.

Over the years, Adams became the third player, and the youngest, to make 100 appearances for Sussex Women.

In September 2024, she finally got the opportunity to make her senior England debut in a T20I against Ireland in Dublin.

In 2025, she switched her county side and became the skipper of Hampshire. Also, in 2025, she was named the captain of the Southern Brave in The Hundred.

Off the field, Adams stands out as a role model, representing LGBTQ+ visibility in cricket. Openly embracing her identity and advocating for inclusion, she embodies positivity and leadership both within and beyond the game.
