Player Bio

A bright, young top-order batsman who also keeps wicket, Alaistair Orr is a professional English cricketer who is a product of Sussex Academy and has represented the County since the age of 10.

Orr made his professional debut for the Sussex Second XI in 2018 and already has a handful of second-string games under his belt. The Bede School alma mater came into prominence when he scored 85 unbeaten against Yorkshire in a three-day match in 2019.

The Eastbourne-born gloveman became the tenth pathway graduate in the current Sussex squad and became the fourth candidate to sign a professional contract with the County.

A talented batsman who also acts as a reserve keeper in the Sussex squad, Orr is also capable of taking the bowlers to the cleaners. Looking forward to his first professional season with the County, he would be hoping to make his first-team debut with the club.
