Player Bio

Keacy Uydess Carty, born March 19, 1997, in Sint Maarten, is a trailblazing West Indian cricketer, the first from his island to represent the West Indies at the international level. A right-handed middle-order batter and occasional right-arm medium bowler, Carty debuted for the Leeward Islands Under-19s in 2013 at age 16, showcasing early promise.

His breakthrough came in the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, where he scored an unbeaten 52 in the final against India, earning Player of the Match honours and helping the West Indies clinch their first title.

Carty made his first-class debut for the Leeward Islands in February 2016, scoring a maiden half-century. His List A century in the 2020–21 Super50 Cup (123*) paved the way for his international debut.

In May 2022, he became the first Sint Maartener to play an ODI, debuting against the Netherlands and scoring 43* to secure a win. In August 2024, he made history again as Sint Maarten’s first Test cricketer, and in November 2024, he scored his maiden ODI century against England, solidifying his role in the West Indies middle order.

In his brief international career, Carty has shown an aggressive yet composed style that has earned accolades. A national hero, he received an Achievement Award from Sint Maarten’s Prime Minister in 2024.
