Player Bio

Having made her professional debut at the age of 14, Amy Smith is a rising young star who plays for Tasmanian Tigers in the Women’s National Cricket League and for the Hobart Hurricanes in the WBBL.

A right-arm leg break bowler, Smith caught attention from a very young age and was quickly drafted in the Tasmanian Tigers squad at the age of 14 and at the age of 15, she became the youngest player in the 2020-21 WBBL season.

Before the 2020-21 season, Smith already made a name for herself by bagging two back-to-back 'Tasmanian Female Young Player of the Year' awards.

The future is bright for Smith and if nurtured properly she can cement her place in the national side as the leader of the Australian attack. Still, a long way to go though.
