A crafty off-spinning all-rounder, Ella Hayward is a professional Australian cricketer for Melbourne Renegades. The 18-year old plays domestic cricket for Victoria in the Women’s National Cricket League.
The youngster grabbed eyeballs for her multiple match-winning performances in the domestic circuit and was rewarded with her maiden Women’s Big Bash League contract from the Melbourne Renegades in 2020. She featured in 8 matches for the Women in Red picking up 5 wickets at an economical rate.
Ella was retained by the Renegades for the 2021 WBBL season as she is one of the most consistent spinners in the squad. Still just 18 years of age, Ella would be hoping to make a breakthrough performance to earn a callup from the Australian women’s side.
