A skilled hit-the-deck seamer, Harry Podmore is a professional English cricketer for the Kent County Club. A hardworking individual, Podmore made unbelievable strides in County cricket since he graduated from the Middlesex Academy.

The 23-year-old paceman made his Middlesex debut in June 2014 against Essex in the NatWest T20 Blast, the first of his twenty appearances for Middlesex in the shortest form of the game. Despite forcing his way into the white-ball squad, he only made four first-class appearances picking up sixteen wickets in the club Championship winning season in 2016 with the best match return of 7 for 144 against Somerset in Taunton.

Harry joined Kent from Middlesex in 2018 where he found first-team opportunities limited. He was a key component in Kent’s promotion-winning side. Harry also showed his potential with the bat scoring 53 against Gloucestershire, and 33* against Glamorgan. He mainly featured in the red-ball team for Kent scalping 54 wickets in first-class cricket as they finished 4th in the County Championship.

In September 2021, Harry signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Spitfire Ground until the end of 2023. Since joining the club, the 26-year old paceman has established himself as the key part of Kent’s red-ball team and his main goal is to break into the white-ball squad as well.
