Player Bio

A promising young batsman, Jason Sangha is a professional Australian cricketer who plays franchise cricket for the Sydney Thunders in the Big Bash League (BBL). He was a part of an exclusive group of cricketers to have received a New South Wales while still at school.

The 22-year old signed for the Thunders as a community rookie prior to the start of the sixth edition of the BBL as a 16-year old kid. Sangha caught the attention of the selectors when he smashed 133 unbeaten against England XI in 2017 when he was just 17. By doing so, he became the youngest cricketer to score a first-class century against England after the great Sachin Tendulkar.

Since then he has gone on to make his BBL debut and scored a majestic century on his Sheffield Shield debut. A future prospect for New South Wales, Sangha signed a three-year contract extension prior to the start of the eighth edition of the BBL.
