Player Bio

Not to be confused with Sussex’s Ollie Robison, Oliver George Robinson is a Kent product who started playing age-group cricket from the U-13s and also represented England in the U-19s.

A promising wicket-keeper and a specialist batsman, Robinson made his debut for the Kent second XI in June 2015 and made six appearances in his debut season before being drafted into Kent’s senior squad for the 2016-17 Super50 tournament. He made his debut for the Kent senior side in February 2017 against the West Indies u-19 team.

At the end of the 2017 English domestic season, the 22-year old was named as Kent’s Young Cricketer of the Year award and received his first professional contract with the County. After an injury to Sam Billings, he took over as the County’s first choice wicket-keeper and cemented his spot in the 2019 Championship season. Having featured in every match of the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy, the stumper signed a contract extension at the end of the 2020 season that will see him at the County till the end of 2023.
