Player Bio

Parvez Hossain Emon is a left-handed wicket-keeper batter, who has rapidly gained fame after playing for the Bangladesh national side.

His passion for cricket was ignited at a very young age, and showing his brilliance in the local and school tournaments, he decided to join Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan – the premier sports institute in the country, which has produced numerous national cricketers.

Emon’s professional career began with his debut for Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League in February 2019. Soon, he made his List A debut in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League in March 2019.

One of his astonishing achievements was in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup in December 2020. Playing for Fortune Barishal against Minister Group Rajshahi, he scored a blistering century off just 42 balls, setting a record for the fastest T20 century by a Bangladeshi cricketer.

In the 2023-24 season of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, Emon scored 623 runs in 13 matches at an extraordinary average of 47.92, with his highest score being 151.

His consistent showcase of his abilities made room for him in the national setup.

After being a key part of Bangladesh's squad in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, contributing to the team's historic triumph in the tournament, he got his maiden call-up for the senior national side for the T20I series against Zimbabwe.

He was named in the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 being played in Pakistan and UAE.

Being 5.7 feet tall, Emon relies on his techniques and provides an edge with his left-handed batting. He has aggressive strokes and textbook drives in his bag.
