Player Bio

Bryce Parsons has steadily built a reputation as one of South Africa’s brightest young all-rounders. A left-handed batter and left-arm orthodox spin, Parsons combines natural talent with a quiet determination that has earned him respect across domestic cricket circles. His rise began through strong performances at the school level for King Edward VII School, one of the country’s renowned cricket nurseries. Parsons’ leadership qualities came to the fore when he captained South Africa’s Under-19 team at the 2020 ICC Under-19 World Cup.

During that tournament, he was one of the side’s most consistent players — scoring runs with composure and taking crucial wickets with his disciplined spin bowling. A few days after the World Cup, in February 2020 itself, Parsons made his first-class and List A debuts for Gauteng.

Later, Parsons joined the Dolphins setup, where he transitioned smoothly into senior domestic cricket. His adaptability across formats stood out, particularly in the CSA 4-Day Series and One-Day Cup, where he contributed important runs in the middle order and maintained steady control with the ball. One of his most talked-about innings came in a tense four-day clash in Durban, where his patient half-century helped the Dolphins secure a vital draw.

Notably, Parsons made his SA20 debut for the Durban Super Giants franchise in the 2024-25 season.

The 2001-born player remains one of South Africa’s most promising all-rounders — a player whose game continues to mature with every season.
