A solid looking right-handed batsman, Tion Webster is a Trinidad and Tobago player who is known for his ability to spend hours at the crease.
He made his first-class debut for T&T in the 2016-17 Regional Four Day tournament. He had a nightmarish debut against Barbados, scoring just 7 runs in the combined two innings.
The breakout knock came in November 2017, when Webster struck a majestic 178 against Jamaica and in the process notched up his maiden first-class hundred.
A year later, he was drafted in by the Winnipeg Hawks for the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada Tournament.
Ahead of the 2020 CPL tournament, he was named in the Trinbago Knight Riders squad.
Still in the prime of his career, Webster will try to impress the selectors in the upcoming CPL season. It is a golden chance for the batter to showcase his worth in the shortest format of the game. He may not be in contention for the World T20 this year but could be a future mainstay of the Windies lineup.
