Player Bio

Tshepo Moreki has built his reputation as one of South Africa’s most hardworking and reliable fast bowlers in domestic cricket. Born in Durban, Moreki’s cricketing journey is one defined by perseverance and steady progress through South Africa’s competitive provincial system. A right-arm fast-medium bowler known for his control, aggression, and work rate, Moreki has been a consistent performer across formats.

He made his first-class debut for Boland in 2014, quickly impressing with his ability to hit the deck hard and extract movement even on flat surfaces. His performances earned him a move to the Titans, where he further developed his skills under the guidance of experienced pacers. In 2017, Moreki’s name entered national conversations when he was included in South Africa’s T20I squad for the series against Sri Lanka, marking a career highlight and recognition of his domestic form.

In the years that followed, Moreki continued to evolve, joining Western Province and becoming a senior figure in their bowling attack. His spells in the 2022–23 CSA 4-Day Series were particularly notable, including several five-wicket hauls that showcased his knack for striking in crucial moments.

The Durban-born lad’s biggest achievement came in February 2024 when he made his Test debut for the Proteas in New Zealand. So far, he has featured in only two Test matches.

The 1993-born player is part of the South Africa A squad that will tour India in November 2025.

With years of experience behind him and fitness on his side, Tshepo Moreki remains one of South Africa’s dependable domestic pacemen — a symbol of resilience and professionalism in the country’s cricketing circuit.
